Volunteering England works to support and increase the quality, quantity, impact and accessibility of volunteering throughout England.
Volunteering Hertfordshire
The network of district based Volunteer Centres in Hertfordshire work in partnership to offer a range of services including:
- Helping people of all abilities, skills and interests find appropriate voluntary opportunities
- Advertising voluntary opportunities and running rectuitment events
- Providing information, guidence and training in volunteer management
- Development new opportunities for volunteering e.g. for employees and in sports
- Promoting a volunteer friendly culture by campaigning and lobbying
- Working with partners in all sectors to develop volunteering
Do it
Do-it is part of the registered charity YouthNet, a non-profit-making organisation. We do not charge people to use the database as we believe that volunteering should be free to the user and so make a small charge to organisations registering their opportunities to ensure this.

National Careers Service
We can give you free advice on returning to work, re-training, paying for your learning or finding childcare. We also have lots of information relevant to your situation, say, if you're facing redundancy or trying to fit study around family.

Herts Sports Partnership
We work alongside a number of partners from the public, private and voluntary sectors, bringing together expertise, resources and ideas from all sides of the sports world in Hertfordshire and beyond. The Herts Sports Partnership provides a central and co-ordinated sports service for the whole county to benefit from.
Broxbourne Council
The mission of Broxbourne Council is to serve the public and to meet our statutory responsibilities with economy, efficiency and effectiveness.
Hertfordshire County Council
The county council is the only council with responsibility for services across the whole of the county. It works with central government and other local organisations to help improve and deliver a range of local services to more than a million people, who live, work and travel in the county. Services such as schools, libaries, support for elderly and vulnerable people and the roads and pavements are all provided by the county council.
HAFLS (Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service)
HAFLS directly delivers family learning provision and sub-contracts with a range of providers to plan and deliver a countrywide programme of adult learning.
